Profile lamination machine, Profile laminating production line

Profile wrapping is an adhesive lamination process involving a 2-Dimensional flat or paper laminate, process by which a decorative surface is laminated onto a substrate in linear form. The material is applied to a profile such as trim or molding through the use of pressure and multiple nip points.

In the WPC door and windows industry, profile wrapping is by far the most prominent surface colouring process. You can find this process also in other sectors like the furniture industry or flooring on different support materials like plastics, aluminium or wood. This process enables manufacturers to create decorative wood components that mimic natural materials at a fraction of the cost. Engineered decorated profiles also enable better color and design consistency.

A PVC (PolyVinyl Chloride) lamination machine foils PVC profiles with an appropriate surface material, mostly PVC foil, by applying hot melt glue to the foil and pressing the foil to the workpiece following its geometry. A PVC lamination machine enables window or system manufacturers to offer window and door profiles in different colours or with natural patterns and improved resistance.
